Patricia Jander is a business attorney in West Michigan who practices in the areas of business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and internet law. She previously worked as in-house counsel at a private lending company near Seattle, WA.
Patty graduated with a B.A. in English from Calvin College. She earned her J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law where she graduated magna cum laude. She is a graduate of the MSU Law Trial Practice Institute, and worked as a summer associate at Smith Haughey drafting motions and trial court briefs. She also gained experience in online defamation assessments while interning at a small boutique firm in Traverse City. While earning her J.D. she focused her studies on intellectual property law. In 2013 she had the opportunity to travel to Croatia where she studied internet law and international copyright law within the European Union.
Patty works primarily with businesses to support their wide-ranging business needs, along with their intellectual property requirements. She assists with trademark applications, monitoring, and enforcement, as well as general inquiries related to licensing, copyrights and contractual agreements.
Patty is deeply involved in the Holland community and enjoys serving her clients along the lakeshore and beyond. When she is not in the office, she enjoys cooking, traveling, sailing, and hiking with her husband and dog, Walter.
