Business & Real Estate Associate Attorney

Smith Haughey Rice and Roegge (Smith Haughey) is seeking a Business & Real Estate Associate Attorney to join the team in our Holland, MI or Muskegon, MI office.  At Smith Haughey, we are always looking for talented people with a relentless commitment to excellence and high achievement interested in building their careers with our firm.  We believe the quality of our people defines the quality of our law firm. The successful candidate will have a strong academic record paired with the skills and enthusiasm for a career in business and real estate. Experience preparing documents for business organizations, including corporate formation, terms and conditions, and mergers and acquisitions, as well as service as outside general business counsel, and real estate acquisition and disposition is preferred. Two to Four years of experience practicing law post J.D. preferred.  Candidates must be licensed (or willing and able to become license) and be in good standing to practice law in the state of Michigan.  The associate attorney will have the opportunity to work with various types of businesses, including private and publicly traded corporations, non-profits, and other organizations.

Estate Planning Paralegal

Smith Haughey Rice and Roegge (Smith Haughey) is seeking a full-time Estate Planning Paralegal to join the Private Client Services team in its Grand Rapids, MI or Holland, MI office. At Smith Haughey, we are always looking for talented people with a relentless commitment to excellence and high achievement interested in building their careers with our firm. Director of Marketing and Business Development

Smith Haughey Rice and Roegge (Smith Haughey) is seeking a Director of Marketing and Business Development to join the team in our Grand Rapids, MI office. The Director of Marketing and Business Development collaborates with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and administrative leadership to lead the firm’s overall marketing and business development strategy and helps execute the firm’s strategic priorities and commitments across practice groups, offices, and client teams. The ideal candidate will have strong interest and excitement for the legal industry and in cultivating new and existing client relationships in conjunction with practice group leaders and other shareholders.

Health Law Associate Attorney

Smith Haughey Rice and Roegge (Smith Haughey) is seeking a Health Law Associate Attorney to join the team in our Grand Rapids, MI office (with part-time remote work option). The successful candidate will have a strong academic record paired with the skills and enthusiasm for a career in health law.  Knowledge and/or experience in health care business, regulatory, compliance, technology, and licensing strongly preferred.  One to two years of experience practicing health law is preferred. The associate attorney will have the opportunity to work with various types of health care organizations, including hospitals, health systems, physician groups, health care insurance entities, and other organizations.

Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney

Smith Haughey is seeking a Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney to join the team in the firm’s Grand Rapids office. The associate attorney should have 1-3 years of experience. Qualified candidates must have experience in litigation, motion and depositions, and excellent writing and research skills. Medical malpractice experience and/or medical background strongly preferred, but not required.
