Attorney Meredith R. Beidler Joins Smith Haughey’s Grand Rapids Office

Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge is pleased to announce that attorney Meredith R. Beidler has joined the firm’s Grand Rapids office. Practicing in the firm’s litigation practice group, Meredith focuses her practice on appellate and commercial litigation.

Before joining Smith Haughey, Meredith worked as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney with the Allegan County Prosecutor’s Office and handled both appeals and criminal trials. She has argued several times before both the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Michigan Supreme Court. She also comes to Smith Haughey with trial experience handling jury trials for both misdemeanor and felony criminal cases.

Prior to working at the prosecutor’s office, Meredith worked as an Assistant Attorney General with the Michigan Attorney General’s Office. In this role, Meredith worked in the Public Service Division handling public utility cases and in the Civil Litigation, Employment, and Election Division, where she mostly handled civil litigation for the Michigan Department of Corrections.

Meredith graduated from Cornerstone University with a B.A. in Pre-Law. She earned her J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law. While in law school, she was a member of the law review board of editors and earned the Distinguished Student and Leadership Achievement awards.
