Yazan Abdolkarim is an associate lawyer and member of Smith Haughey’s medical malpractice defense group.

Yazan obtained his undergraduate degree in business and philosophy from Wayne State University and his Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. During law school, Yazan participated in Ohio State’s civil litigation clinic. He was also a member of the Health Law Society, Business Law Society, and Middle Eastern Law Student Association. 

Currently, Yazan is a member of the Michigan Society for Healthcare Risk Managers. Throughout his career, Yazan has focused on representing physicians and hospital systems in malpractice claims. In addition, Yazan has represented attorneys in malpractice and attorney grievance matters.

Outside the office, Yazan enjoys golfing, playing basketball, and coaching a youth basketball team.
