Tyler Anderson is an attorney practicing with Smith Haughey Rice and Roegge’s medical malpractice defense group.
Before joining Smith Haughey, Tyler was a judicial law clerk for Justice Dan Schmidt of the Illinois Appellate Court, Third District. Before his clerkship, Tyler worked for an Illinois law firm where he focused on defense litigation. He handled a range of cases, including railroad and trucking transportation, general tort defense, commercial litigation, toxic torts, and appellate claims. Tyler successfully defended clients in litigation, at trial, and on appeal.
In addition to his legal career, Tyler spent two years in the financial services industry, where he helped professionals and small business owners navigate business and personal financial decisions. He set up retirement plans for small businesses, evaluated business sales, and offered investment, tax planning, retirement saving, and long-term investment strategies.
Tyler graduated from Bradley University with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and history and was a member of the baseball team. He earned his Juris Doctor from Indiana University.
Tyler enjoys spending time on the golf course, in the gym, and running with his dog, Bud. He has also coached youth and high school baseball teams in summer leagues.
