Biography

Ahmed Hassouna is a multifaceted litigator, certified mediator and arbitrator. Ahmed built his practice as an Alternative Dispute Resolution professional upon his reputation as a practical advocate, representing both plaintiffs and defendants, and as a leader in several affinity bar and civic organizations. He serves on Michigan Board of Chiropractic and the State Bar of Michigan’s Character and Fitness Committee. Ahmed had a wide array of litigation experience, which includes commercial litigation, property and casualty claims, No-Fault, medical malpractice defense, toxic tort defense, and family law.  Ahmed spent over a decade as in-house lead trial counsel with two Fortune 500 national insurance companies. In these roles he independently managed all phases of litigation from pre-suit through resolution, including discovery, dispositive motions, case evaluation, facilitation, arbitration, trial preparation and trial.

Ahmed began his career as a judicial law clerk for the 46th Circuit Trial Court serving Crawford, Kalkaska and Otsego Counties. There, he clerked for Honorable Alton T. Davis, now Justice Emeritus of the Michigan Supreme Court.

Outside the office Ahmed spends time with his wife, Kristi, who serves as the Development Director at Capuchin Soup Kitchen, and their daughter. He is active in his community, volunteering with Care House of Oakland County, HAVEN and is a member of the Knights of Columbus #4188, as a Fourth Degree Knight.
