ABOTA is a national organization comprised of more than 7,300 trial lawyers and judges dedicated to preserving the right to trial by jury and elevating the standards of integrity, honor, and courtesy within the legal profession. Membership is by invitation only and is equally balanced between plaintiff and defense counsel.

Lawyers must have at least five years of active experience as a trial lawyer and tried at least 10 civil jury trials to verdict. In addition to active state bar membership and exemplary trial experience, members must exhibit the virtues of civility, integrity, and professionalism in practice.

“I am incredibly honored to become a member of ABOTA,” said Taweel. “I look forward to working with its members in promoting improvement in the ethical and technical standards of trial practice.”
