SHRR is pleased to announce that A. Tony Taweel and Christopher Genther have been selected for inclusion in Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s inaugural 2026 Michigan Legal 250, a new recognition honoring the state’s most influential and accomplished attorneys.
According to Michigan Lawyers Weekly, the Michigan Legal 250 recognizes attorneys across the state who have demonstrated sustained professional success while responding to evolving client needs, legal developments, technological advancements, economic challenges and community engagement.
The recognition is notable for Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge’s medical malpractice defense practice, which represents hospitals, health systems, physicians and other health care providers throughout Michigan. Of the 250 attorneys selected statewide, only six were recognized in the Medical Malpractice Defense category, and two of those attorneys, A. Tony Taweel and Christopher Genther, are members of SHRR.
While the Michigan Legal 250 recognizes individual attorneys, the fact that nearly one-third of the attorneys recognized in this category come from a single firm reflects the depth of experience, collaboration and client service that characterize SHRR’s medical malpractice defense practice.
SHRR congratulates Tony and Chris on their inclusion in the inaugural Michigan Legal 250.
