On Monday, Michigan Lawyers Weekly announced its 2023 roster of Go To Lawyers for construction law, recognizing 20 top lawyers across the state. Tom Vitale, attorney at Smith Haughey, was named to this year’s class. He is one of four lawyers based in West Michigan to make the list.
The 2023 class of Go To Lawyers includes a mix of professionals employed by construction companies and law firms. They offer legal knowledge and services in a wide range of areas: real estate and leasing matters, disputes and litigation, land use, contracts, risk management, and more.

About the Go To Lawyers Program
This is the first time Michigan Lawyers Weekly has identified top construction lawyers in Michigan since the program began in 2020. In past years, it has recognized lawyers who specialize in employment law, real estate and condo law, medical malpractice law, business law, and intellectual property law.
Lawyers are peer-nominated, then selected based on their experience, accomplishments, creative thinking, and proven record of success.
