Smith Haughey Welcomes Attorneys Christopher Spain and Brian Pearson

Grand Rapids, Mich., February 17, 2014— Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge is pleased to announce that attorneys Christopher M. Spainand Brian M. Pearson have joined the firm’s Grand Rapids office. 

Christopher M. Spain
Chris practices in matters involving medical malpractice. He defends doctors, nurses, hospitals and other health care providers throughout the state of Michigan. Chris has a strong background in litigation, as he previously defended companies in the credit and collection industry.

Chris is licensed to practice law in the state courts of Michigan, Texas and California. He earned a J.D., from Loyola Law School in 2009 and a B.B.A., from Loyola Marymount University in 2002.

Brian M. Pearson
Brian joins Smith Haughey as a shareholder practicing in the areas of business, real estate and construction law. Previously in-house counsel for a publicly-traded manufacturing company, Brian gained valuable experience managing matters pertaining to business law, real estate law, commercial litigation and employment law.

Brian received a B.S. in International Relations from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a J.D. from Indiana University where he was a member of the Dean’s List, involved in the International Law Society, and a Moot Court participant. He is licensed to practice law in the state court of Michigan.
