Smith Haughey Appoints New Business and Real Estate Practice Group Chair

Muskegon, Mich., June 9, 2015— Smith Haughey is pleased to announce that attorney Eugene A.Franks has been named Chair of the firm’s Business and Real Estate practice group.  

Eugene Franks has over 29 years of experience as a business, real estate and tax attorney. He represents closely-held business enterprises, health care providers and real estate developers with an emphasis on transactional tax planning. Eugene is involved in numerous charitable and philanthropic activities in the Muskegon area. His involvement includes serving as a board member for the Harvest Foundation and a member of the executive committee for Ducks Unlimited of Muskegon.

Eugene holds a B.A. from the University of South Florida, a J.D., cum laude, from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and a LL.M., with honors, from the University of Florida.
