Jeffrey Hart – a trial lawyer with more than 25 years of experience – is now a shareholder at Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge. He is a member of our litigation group and works out of the Ann Arbor office.
Jeffrey litigates complex matters, including commercial, construction, transportation, and professional liability cases. He has represented Fortune 500 companies, cities, universities, hospitals, physician groups, and individuals in civil, regulatory, and criminal matters.
He serves as lead counsel for a Fortune 500 beverage company, a national specialty gas/propane company, and crane companies in large-scale crane accident cases. He has tried more than 280 cases before various administrative agencies, judges, and juries.
He provides pro bono legal services to Detroit’s homeless population via Homeless Experience Legal Protection (H.E.L.P.) and is actively involved in the American Bar Association, Defense Research Institute (DRI), Illinois Defense Counsel (IDC), and State Bar of Michigan.
Jeffrey earned his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
