Eddy Elected to the Intellectual Property Section of the Grand Rapids Bar Association

Grand Rapids, Mich., July 6, 2015— Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge attorney Sheila E. Eddy has been elected Vice Chairperson of the Intellectual Property Section of the Grand Rapids Bar Association.

Sheila practices in the areas of trademark, copyright, trade secret, Internet, and business law, in both transactional and litigation contexts. In addition to assisting individual software developers, photographers, authors, artists and other creatives with securing and enforcing their copyrighted works, Sheila also represents small to mid-size companies in matters involving intellectual property and Internet disputes and preparation and review of documents that range from trademark and copyright licenses and assignments, to cloud storage agreements and employer trade secret policies.

The Grand Rapids Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Section brings together well-versed intellectual property practitioners with other attorneys having a general interest in patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret law. The Section provides forums for discussion on current legal topics and seminars that seek to educate bar members on the basics of the intellectual property practice.
