Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge is pleased to announce that Michael E. Doversberger has been named Chair of the firm’s business and real estate practice group. Mike is a Shareholder who practices in the firm’s Holland office.
“Mike has been shouldering significant aspects of this role and demonstrating leadership within the group and the firm for the last couple of years,” said Jaron Nyhof, Founding Shareholder of Smith Haughey’s Holland office. “This is really just an acknowledgement of his past and ongoing contributions.”
Mike practices in the areas of business, real estate, franchise, and employment law.
Mike began his legal career in Mishawaka, Indiana and Dowagiac, Michigan, before joining Smith Haughey. He has served as counsel for individuals and publicly traded corporations, has drafted and negotiated numerous types of agreements, including for the sale or acquisition of commercial real estate, asset and stock sales of companies, and consulting and manufacturing agreements. Mike also serves as counsel to employers on human resource needs and strategies and has a wide-ranging business law practice.
Prior to commencing his law practice, Mike attended the University of Notre Dame, majoring in business administration, with a minor in international peace studies. Mike then attended the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and was an editor on the International & Comparative Law Review.
