Smith Haughey welcomed Health Law Attorney, Christopher Reed and Marketing and Business Development Director, Kaley Pleva in August.
Christopher Reed
Christopher Reed is an associate attorney and practices in the Health Law Group in our Grand Rapids office.
Before joining Smith Haughey, Christopher worked for the Department of Justice’s Health Care Fraud Unit where he was a member of the National Rapid Response Strike Force. In that role, Christopher experienced all phases of criminal health care fraud litigation from investigation to appeal.
Christopher earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in humanities & interdisciplinary studies from Michigan State University. He went on to the University of Maryland Carey School of Law, where he captained three national health law competition teams and earned his Juris Doctorate in health care law & policy.
Christopher is an East Lansing native and enjoys hockey, golf, camping, and boating.
Kaley Pleva
Kaley Pleva serves as the firm’s Director of Marketing & Business Development. In this role, she leads marketing and business development initiatives according to the firm’s business goals and strategic plan. Kaley helps execute priorities and commitments across practice groups, offices, and client teams. Her responsibilities include communications, branding, public relations and advertising, website management, and enhancing the firm’s visibility.
Kaley attended Grand Valley State University earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies.
