Tom Tasker Inducted into Workers’ Comp Hall of Fame

Former Smith Haughey attorney Tom Tasker was recently inducted into the State Bar of Michigan’s Workers’ Comp Section Hall of Fame.

Tom joined Smith Haughey in 1970, where he became a partner and shareholder, and was an integral member during his time at the firm, serving as chair of the firm’s workers’ compensation practice group.

Tom demonstrated a commitment to fostering and furthering the objectives of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the State Bar by serving on the section’s council as a council member, treasurer, secretary, vice chairperson, and chairperson.

Tom retired in 2013 and currently lives in Florida. Jane Hofmeyer, an attorney at Smith Haughey and colleague of Tom, accepted the award on his behalf at the Workers’ Compensation Section’s annual meeting on Thursday, June 13.
