Grand Rapids Attorney Named to the “Top 40 Under 40 Litigators” List by the American Society of Legal Advocates

Grand Rapids, Mich., December 17, 2012 — Kristen E. Guinn, an attorney with Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge, was named to the American Society of Legal Advocate’s list of the “Top 40 Under 40 Litigators” in addition to accepting a membership invitation to the society.

The American Society of Legal Advocates (ASLA) accepts less than two percent of all licensed lawyers in the nation as members; and membership is by invitation only. Candidates are assessed for membership based on educational accomplishments, involvement and leadership within professional affiliations and their community, as well as demonstrated legal achievement.

According to ASLA, the Top 40 Lawyers Under 40 list “identifies and recognizes lawyers demonstrating leadership and talent early on in their careers, not only in their practice, but in exemplifying the characteristics that will demonstrate the best that the legal profession has to offer.”

Kristen is a trial attorney and litigator who practices from Smith Haughey’s Grand Rapids office. She represents and defends an array of people and organizations in the resolution of various disputes and has successfully tried cases and settled disputes for clients in both state and federal courts throughout Michigan. She counsels and defends her clients in matters involving the defense of claims of professional malpractice, contract disputes, employment matters, and general liability, among other areas.
