Biography

Nicole Suor is a legal nurse consultant in the firm’s medical malpractice department. In her current role, she assists attorneys with the following:

  • Management of multiple malpractice cases from investigative phase through trial preparation
  • Collection, organization, summarization and analysis of medical records
  • Conducting medical research
  • Identification, research and interview/selection of expert witnesses
  • Assisting in the preparation of discovery documents and pleadings, expert opinion reports and pertinent case documentation

Nicole has over 10 years experience as a legal secretary/assistant in the areas of business/real estate law, criminal defense law, and estate planning and probate (including elder law/medicaid planning, conservatorships/guardianships and disability and special needs planning). She also has 11 years experience as a nurse working in the areas of emergency medicine and pain management. Prior to joining Smith Haughey, she served in clinical management at one of Michigan’s largest pain management practices. Nicole now brings her combined legal and medical experience and knowledge to the area of medical malpractice defense law.
