Chris is senior counsel in Smith Haughey’s Muskegon office, devoting the entirety his practice to all aspects of litigation. He has extensive experience in trying cases on behalf of businesses, individuals, insurers and insureds throughout the state of Michigan.
Chris has obtained jury verdicts of no-cause of action against various tort, contract and statutory claims on behalf of construction and trucking companies, doctors and hospitals, and numerous other business clients. He has also obtained favorable verdicts and settlements on behalf of clients that have suffered physical injury or financial harm. While litigation has been Chris’ focus while practicing law, Chris has also garnered valuable business experience in leading the coordination and acquisition of strategic partnerships, as well as investment capital, for a student loan refinance and consolidation company in Chicago.
Chris and his wife, Emily, live in Grand Haven Township with their three boys. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching Michigan football and basketball, and trying to develop a golf game.
